About us

1880 is born out of the idea that conversations can make the world a better place. Our goal is to bring together the most interesting and creative personalities in Singapore and create opportunities for them to exchange and cross-pollinate ideas, enjoy exceptional food and drink, and have a really good time. The club in Singapore - a cosmopolitan city with a global role - represents the new wave of members’ clubs that have emerged from New York and London. Designed as a space housing both social and work environments, 1880 is created for the people who are shaping the future of Southeast Asia. It is a place and a people united by character, curiosity, and passion, not exclusivity. From the moment you step through our doors, you will be taken out of the ordinary, while still having the comfort of being in your element.

Great Place to Converse with Friends

This club boasts many interesting features as you step in. The healing energy from the rose quartz front desk is palpable and the futuristic accented spaces nuanced with clean modern friendly designed spaces and geometric carpets actually marry a nice blend of present day modernism with concepts of the future. The drinks are great and the food is so damn good one is enticed to order more than one round of both. I think as far as social clubs go I had very pleasant conversations with everyone I met including my old friend who I had not seen for 15 years. We were comfortable enough to share our missing years apart and we had a good laugh about trivial things. Everyone I did not know there were personable and friendly without being intrusive or overly familiar. The vibes are great at this place. The jazz singer is amazing too????

Top notch members club with amazing offerings of food and drinks

We were privileged to visit this space amidst all the December festivities. The decorations and interior design felt like a page out of Alice’s Wonderland. Situated on 3rd floor of the Intercontinental Hotel, coming through the escalator tunnel with psychedelic mirrors was stepping into Chapter 1 of the Adventure. The dining room, 2 long bars and business spaces are impeccably appointed. Just taking time to admire the subtleties of the designs and art pieces was about a good 1 hour. Upon arriving in the dining space, we were greeted by Reuben and requested to try as many star dishes as possible. We had more than 8 dishes shared between my partner and I with self-directed wine pairings (speak to Leonard or Adly at the bar and they’ll know what exactly to get for you based on your flavour profile). Each dish was well presented and the combination of simple flavours hit the spot. Our favourites were: β€’ GYOZA with mild asian chilli oil and yan sui (a rare herb of the "coriander" family) β€’ FOIE GRAS TERRINE with brioche toast β€’ RED CURRY RED SNAPPER β€’ SQUID INK TAGLIATELLE it was a memorable experience and we’ll be very happy to dine here many more time because of the ambience, the personalised service and the food! Thank you Team 1880!

The most incredible burger

The ambience is outstanding, the food is very good but the highlight is the impossible Babbar which actually is a vegetarian burger but even after being told it is vegetarian several times I just can’t believe it, it is stated smelled and look like a beef burger

Private members club ...v chic styling

This new club on the Singapore scene launched by a London Business School MBA sits atop the Intercontinental Hotel with easy parking downstairs....easy to get to, easy to access. The welcoming bar area is notable for the eye catching bar made of many many many metal kettles which is certainly innovative as is the carved backdrop to the bar. It does certainly look very expensive and suitably exclusive. The workspace for those who wish to base themselves here, is possibly the smartest in the city and certainly well above the WeWork standard of basic functionality. Food was superb with an eclectic and unique menu. Clearly this level of attention to detail, attentiveness and excellence is priced appropriately so expect a bill circa Sing$ 100 per head but if you have a list of places to go for making memories, this should that list.. ENJOY AND BE BLOWN AWAY

Best Private Club in Asia

Very cool decor. Winning crowd of people. Great food from Scottish no nonsense chef. My favourite haunt when in ASEAN.

Fantastic food and service

We had the steak and the vegetarian pho for a snack because we were planning to have dinner elsewhere afterwards. The servings were really big and we ended up not eating until the morning! The drinks are awesome too. Worth going back to Singapore for this!

Members only

An upmarket feel but with a chilled vibe. Great food, great service and a friendly staff. Being members only gives it a home away from feeling.
